Logitech Driving Force Shifter Mod

H-pattern / Sequential

Vídeo de montaje

El mismo vídeo de montaje sirve para todos los modelos y versiones compatibles.

Tools required

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 2.5 mm hex key
  • Tweezers or a thin tool
  • Scissors for opening the grease sachet
  • Clean cloth or paper towel

Remove the original knob and boot

1. Carefully lift the dark grey top cap from the original knob with tweezers or a thin tool, or by hand. This exposes the retaining screw.

2. Remove the retaining screw and pull the knob upwards off the shaft.

3. Remove the four side screws securing the boot, then lift off the boot.

4. Remove all four small foam pads from the original shifter. They are not reused.

Install the mod cover

5. Place the mod cover on the shifter body and secure it with the four screws pre-installed in the cover. The two front screws may have been fitted from the opposite side for packaging: if so, remove and refit them from the correct side before tightening.

6. Remove the four small black countersunk screws and lift off the selected carbon plate. Leave the mod cover and magnetic mechanism fitted to the shifter.

Lubricate and check the mechanism

7. Cut a very small corner off the grease sachet. Apply a tiny dot of grease to the two guide rods where the lever slides: use less than a single drop of water.

8. Move the lever through several test shifts to distribute the grease. Slightly higher initial resistance is normal and should ease during the short break-in period.

9. With the lever in neutral, move it towards the 5th/6th gear side and release it, then towards the 1st/2nd gear side and release it. It should return to the centre. If it does not, make more test shifts; add only a tiny extra amount of grease if necessary.

Refit the plate and knob

10. Refit the selected H-pattern or Sequential plate with the four small black countersunk screws. Tighten evenly.

11. For the custom knob, slide it onto the shaft in the correct orientation and refit the dark grey top cap. For the original knob, refit the knob, tighten its retaining screw and press the top cap back into place.

12. Check that the lever moves smoothly, self-centres correctly and all screws are secure without being overtightened.

Important notes

  • To switch plates: remove the knob, remove the four countersunk screws, swap the plate, refit the screws and reinstall the knob.
