Thrustmaster Quick Release

Standard rims: T300 RS/RS GT, 599 GTE, 599XX Ferrari Alcantara, TM Open Wheel, TX 28 GT Leather, T-GT/T-GT II, Sparco P310 and Sparco R383.

Operate the Quick Release

1. To separate the two halves, press the silver button on the coloured ring while rotating one half relative to the other until they reach the release position. Reverse this procedure to reconnect the halves.

Remove the original connector

2. Remove the wheel from the base.

3. Remove the three countersunk screws.

4. Remove the two screws securing the connector and keep them for reuse.

5. Disconnect the original electrical connector. On rims such as TM Open Wheel and TX 28 GT Leather, this requires desoldering the relevant wire. Record its original position before disconnecting it.

Install the Quick Release

6. Secure the connector assembly to the Quick Release with the two original screws. Preserve the original connector and wire orientation.

7. Insert the three-pin cable into the wheel. It fits in one direction only; do not force it.

8. Reconnect the electrical connector. If a wire was desoldered earlier, solder it back in its original position.

9. Fit the three countersunk screws supplied in the kit in their correct positions.

Connect the wheel to the base

10. Fit the other half of the Quick Release into the base.

11. Align and connect the two halves of the Quick Release.

Important notes

• Only carry out desoldering and soldering if you are comfortable using an electronics soldering iron. If unsure, contact BRG before proceeding.
• Check that the connector is correctly positioned and both halves are fully engaged before use.
